Who this is for

Anyone who wants plain-language definitions for RelyyCast terms.

Prerequisites

  • None.

Steps

  1. Use this page as a quick reference while following setup or troubleshooting guides.

Terms

  • Runtime: The managed background services lifecycle in RelyyCast (starting, running, stopping, error).
  • Relay: MediaMTX path and stream forwarding state.
  • Input URL: Source audio URL that FFmpeg ingests.
  • Relay Path: URL path segment used by MediaMTX for HLS output.
  • MP3 Output: Toggle that enables or disables MP3 stream output.
  • Temp URL: Temporary Cloudflare URL using trycloudflare.com.
  • Custom Domain: Cloudflare mode using your own DNS hostname.
  • Tunnel Name: Cloudflare tunnel identifier used in named mode.
  • Hostname: Public DNS name for your stream (example: radio.example.com).
  • Listeners: Number of currently connected MP3 clients.
  • READY: Cloudflare status indicating tunnel setup completed and URL is active.

What success looks like

  • You can quickly decode app labels and status terms while following docs.

Common mistakes

  • Confusing relay readiness with Cloudflare readiness.
